Please give your attention to this long feature from the Marquette student newspaper on what Jake Richard has been doing to lead his lacrosse team since the death of two teammates in September.

For #mubb, I’ve been reflective lately. Today’s road loss, which felt like a win that got away from us, was hard. I’m asking myself why?

I think the answer is positive - the team has shown growth these past few games, starting with Providence and Creighton. Today showed growth as well. But… 1/x

Just wow, there is a lot of beauty in the darkness of this kind of humor. I’ve heard of “dark humor” before but never like this, and yet it’s so dark that it’s beautiful, somehow it comes full circle back to being kind of wonderful. Hilarious hardly describes it. Insane level of comedy.
Will Arnett was on Conan and told a story about how Conan dealt with the death of his parents by accusing Jason Bateman of killing them. It’s so funny.

Isn't it great to know there still are corner taverns in Milwaukee where one can not only grab a beer and watch baseball, but also order a Friday fish fry? That's what's happening at Lucky's Ice House Bar & Grill.

“Kiddie pools have more depth than the Lakers.”

Scoggins: JJ Redick’s no-sub second half desperate, damaging
The coach couldn’t trust his thin bench. The players he left out there said they weren’t tired, but getting outscored 32-19 in the fourth quarter says they were.

Wishing Sean the best. Never love seeing good coaches leave the Big East, but Xavier basketball has a strong tradition and I have a feeling they’ll find another great hire to replace him. #mubb
Breaking: Sean Miller is leaving Xavier and will be the next coach at Texas, a source told CBS Sports. The Austin American-Statesman was the first to report the news.

Miller was strongly in the mix to get the Texas job two years ago, when Rodney Terry took UT to the Elite Eight and won the gig.

I’m a huge fan of the NCAA tournament, it’s the best that college sports has to offer. But one thing I noticed this year blows my mind: the number of 1st year coaches taking their teams to the Sweet 16!

BYU
Arkansas
Michigan

Maybe that’s not that many, but it feels like a lot. That’s fun.

I love the idea that Milwaukee was literally built through major collaboration. Let’s see more of this energy in 2025 if we want to do big things in our city!
Milwaukee, 179 years ago today

After years of competition, Juneautown, Kilbourntown, & Walker’s Point realize they have more to gain through collaboration and combine to form the Milwaukee, appointing the Quebecois immigrant Solomon Juneau as mayor of the 9,500-person “city”

Both the Chargers and Commanders could be first place teams next year. If the Chiefs take a step back, John Harbaugh in yr 2 in LA will challenge them. And the NFC East hasn’t had a repeat winner in 20 years, and Washington is most likely to win that division if that trend continues. Tough schedule!
Only good thing from the loss last night is that Vikings will be facing Chargers instead of Chiefs, and Commanders instead of the Eagles, in regular season next year. Their season is already going to be much tougher than this year.

I don’t know where this Vikings season ends up (actually I do - heartbreak, because #vikings). But this is fun.

Exciting to see Justin Jefferson tie his career high for TD’s in a season. Insane he’s been over 1,000 yards each year. Even last year after injuries and Mullens/Dobbs throwing to him

If by “get a call” you mean “can the refs actually NOT call a foul against us even once?” then I think you nailed it. Karma always wins 😂 @shoobydooandy.bsky.social #wearemarquette #mubb
