There is nothing about the image that particularly makes its relevance in context clear, but just for you alt text readers I'll provide an explanation: Mayu has a cat named Yuki, and she shoves her face into Yuki whenever she's feeling stressed, which is often. This is particularly memorable because the premise of the series eventually leads to Yuki magically gaining a human form, which makes Mayu suddenly feel very awkward about her previous treatment of Yuki.

An edit of the "Same Hat" 4koma. If you're unfamiliar, here's how it goes in its original form: In the first panel, two similarly-dressed men, in particular wearing identical fedoras, encounter each other on a sidewalk. One says "s-same..." and the other says "The same hat?" In the second panel, the two are shaking hands and both saying "Same hat!" In the third panel, they've backed away from each other and are waving goodbye, again saying "Same hat!!" The fourth panel zooms out to show them now quite distant from each other, revealing the unlabeled buildings they were in front of, as they continue to wave and say "the same hat..." "same hat..." This version of the image has been edited, replacing every instance of the word "hat" with the word "joke," so they're now getting excited about "the same joke."
