Battery power would be the biggest issue since the motors would need quite a bit of juice. Probably can't make it a c90 if a battery stick of some sort is to fit inside. With a c90, you only have the corners. The bulge at the bottom does have some space though.

Looks like it was set 41564 -- which apparently was a flying thing to begin with(!) so I had trouble spotting it. I had it built as a biped mecha MOC for a long time and eventually confused that with the official build since there are a ton of those kind of designs in the mixels lineup...

These ATS systems became increasingly complex over the years. When I look at cockpit footage of older Japanese trains, they often have a little box placed over the control dashboard, and this is the more modern ATS interface. The sensors go on the low side of the train/wagons, part of the "greeble".
