I have to admit that every time he came on screen in The Bear I went "Oh hey! That guy looks a lot like Rob Reiner" and never researched it any further until reading this.

I definitely lose hope on a regular basis. Sometimes I even regret knowing anything about climate change! But then I look at my son and his friends, their budding lives, and I go on limping along lol

Ok fine I'll read your book again! But thanks for expanding on that. I always struggle with the definitions of science misinformation-there's a broad range of projections, consensus is hard-and with the definition of losing hope, because I know many activists who lose hope on a regular basis.

This is a great point, but feels very different from the messaging you advocated for in your book. Is this a more frustrated or nuanced view, or am I just wildly misremembering how and what you described as doomerism?
