Well these smoke flavourings should be banned.

Obviously. But it’s our problem.
December 1, 2025 at 1:28 AM
Then I don’t understand really why these Brexilers keep bashing us over the head with the fact we’re not checking everything. It’s a problem for us. Not for them.

It’s not acceptable to take away people’s rights and not provide workable alternatives that are affordable and rapid to apply for.

If we have to have systems of visas for the foreseeable future then bring it on. But let’s have visas that are cheap & work for everyone:

Under 30s
Consultants/workers
Home owners/renters
Holidayhomers
People with families across borders
Part year residents
Old people
Young people
Inbetween people

I just want to see an end to political stalemate… and the problems Brexit has left behind dealt with adequately.

If that means undoing Brexit in some form or other then I’d like a rapid pathway to emerge for that to happen.
November 30, 2025 at 11:23 PM
This has to start to happen urgently this year.

Starting with better mobility, then FOM, then single market and eventually EU.

Or in reverse of you think that can be done quickly enough.
November 30, 2025 at 10:19 PM
I think it was a huge mistake. Not my mistake though.

I’d like to see rejoin as quickly as possible in whatever form is most acceptable to the people who have to find agreement with each other.

If that’s not possible quickly then EEA.

If that’s not FOM.

If that’s not, then better mobility.
November 30, 2025 at 10:19 PM
It’s seem to me people are far more interested in barriers and division than cooperation, collaboration or things like Freedom of Movement.

Especially those who fight with us daily against improving awareness of the need for mobility.

All you want to do is put up barriers.

I expect there is no common agreement of what this “European project” that you talk about is.
November 30, 2025 at 9:55 PM
a) Oh. I don’t represent the UK.
b) Seems unrealistic to expect one government to apologise for what another did. This is happening already simply by the fact there supposed to be a UK-EU reset. Brexit is acknowledged a mistake already.
c) says who? You? Guess that’s up to politicians to decide.
November 30, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Agreement in better TCA terms seems to be the “withholding” here. If I’m up to date the latest of our arguments on the same side.
November 30, 2025 at 9:10 PM
If they don’t understand or see this as an advantage then I don’t see how withholding it will make people want EU membership.
November 30, 2025 at 8:54 PM
Presumably that doesn’t hurt the EU. Does it?
November 30, 2025 at 8:53 PM
a) I didn’t. Prove it.
b) I’m not begging for forgiveness for something I have done.

Fortunately many many of us do support closer integration. I’d estimate 80+ % now.
November 30, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Isn’t anything?
November 30, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Oh that’s rubbish. The TCA is a baseline.

It represents everything they were able to agree on so far without any of other things they still haven’t managed to agree on.

That leaves a lot of possibility to my mind
November 30, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Commentators here think that’s what the EU thinks.
November 30, 2025 at 6:15 PM
I don’t think that’s true.
November 30, 2025 at 5:57 PM
Well unless we can rejoin tomorrow, we need some other solutions.

Indeed.

If we can’t go back and can’t go forwards in a pragmatic and mutually acceptable way, then we are all stuck.
November 30, 2025 at 4:24 PM
You won’t please these people until you prostrate yourself in front of them and beg for forgiveness for things you didn’t do. Even then they won’t forgive.
