The chief currency to do this with is “bumps” that you can bump a dice value higher or lower, provided it remains a valid dice value.

Bumps are most useful for changing trends: Mission Control trends which affect you. And Social Trends which affect the rest of the solar system.

The International Space Station has a crack in it, in a place where the Russians can keep a hatch closed usually, but when a cargo ship arrives they have to open it to get stuff out. patch attempts have failed. There is a risk of the whole port blowing out one day when the hatch is open.
