Pret LAX better be as dog friendly as in London and offer pup cups on demand 😅 (ok this is Costa but same principle)

Ah Okundave was auto-text capture from an image 🙂 with my lazy proofreading

I'll in time upload all my exhibition pics on Flickr with proper descriptions and earnest checks on name spelling

Nigerian Modernism at the Tate

Record sleeves and publications were also artistic canvases. I love High Life music as much for its looks as sounds

Such sensitive portraits by Ben Enwonwu

Nigerian Modernism at the Tate

I especially like images of craftspeople crafting, to add heft to the physicality of their objects

Nigerian Modernism at the Tate.

I realised on my collection browser that some artists works hit me especially hard, but those weren't usually what most people looked at. I wonder was my appreciation affected by the 15 years on and off I worked in Nigeria

More Nigerian Modernism at the Tate. I photographed only those works that most moved me but then saw that some would not translate into a small screen, and even those that do, you cannot get a feel for their three dimensions and scale on a phone 🤷‍♂️

"he should know this!"

Top hat. Not a huge surprise. Penny farthings are insanely dangerous but in south east London they might be effective fast and elevated transport against phone and watch snatchers

Introduced in Londom early 2000s and phased out within a decade due to too many fatal accidents caused by the rear end of the articulated bus not being visible by the driver in narrow windy London streets

There's a lenghty The Atlantic article on brassica today. Cauliflower feature prominently. Tho green cabbage is hotly tipped

Enough With the Brussels Sprouts Already
Cabbage is the better Thanksgiving option.

I believe the stained glass window is quite modern but commemorates the building of presumably this church by presumably a women-only team in 1531

Women construction workers in 1531, stained glass window in the Begijnhof chapel Amsterdam

I bet this image isnt in many of our Renaissance stereotypes of womanhood

cf. George Ratner, jewellery exec:

"Our earrings are cheaper than a prawn sandwich from Marks and Spencer's, but the sandwich will probably last longer"

"We sell cut-glass sherry decanters with glasses on a silver tray for £4.95. It's such a low price because it's total crap"

But the Toledo Art Museum is world famous for the quality of its collection. It may not draw large crowds but is a once in lifetime draw for anyone in the arts. Akin to other famous but off beaten track museums such as the Kroller Mueller in Arnhem

I don't drive and there's no train. There's a bus option from Detroit but it's 2 hours each way and I don't love them that much. I might never visit the ANS again even tho Toledo may be best museum quality location option.

Much of the USA is off limits to regular Europeans who take the train.

Hope you have great support. I've two chronically ill disabled young adults living at home who need constant medical support. We've a puppy and a wide range of visiting friends who help with domestic stuff and maintain a vibrant youthful atmosphere. Happy home. I'd wish same for any chronic illness.

I live in central London, voted for higher taxes on me (income tax, CGT, council tax etc) in return for better services for everyone, and am wondering why they are so shy about it. Londoners voter for Labour on the understanding that our council taxes and other stuffs would go up.
