like yeah great, harmonize these e-scooter regulations, or yeah we should have platform-edge doors, but it never does the political/process side of how you accomplish that, like why doesn't toronto city council want to allow e-scooters? why are platform edge doors so expensive?

my read of build toronto (and build canada since it launched) is they want to present policy proposals for implementation (hence the line by line legislation amendments), so "current policy that's stuck in political/process barriers" has always kinda been my issue with the premise of the group(s)

Mine is they should either be as loud inside as outside or they should be single use consumables that you need to replace each time so people don't spam them because they're mildly annoyed
