Think it’s a bit unfair to pick up running again at 7k feet with rolling hills in Los Alamos (after sea level and no hills in Houston) and have my app tell me I’ve only gained 155ft in elevation over my run. There should be some sort of cumulative credit for my work

My heart is outside of my chest right now, worrying about my toddler who is without his primary self-soothing item during naptime at daycare. He cried such furious, mournful tears at losing it yesterday.

Really struggling to not be angry this week. As someone with "normal" brain chemistry, I try to remind myself that my feelings are a choice, but getting out of my irritable funk has been an uphill battle.

Today I saw someone on instagram with an overproduced carousel of graphics with her own rant about how the "ONLY thing" that makes parenting difficult is the lack of support from patriarchal systems, and while I generally agree, I think the thing that makes parenting difficult is actually the child.
