Hold on, are they only using genAI for VO, or is that just the only thing they publicly admitted? Because the Steam disclosure doesn't even mention VO, it says that they used "AI-based tools to assist with content creation". Which could mean textures, text, whatever. It's suspiciously broad.

It sucks that the "okay" uses are just so poisoned. It's never "we found a really good application for the tech", it's always "hey take this little bite so we feel validated using it, then we can go ahead and just steal everyone's work and literally destroy the industry"

Still in act 2, but so many people have raved about act 3 that I'll probably keep going (did Mount Fay last night and honestly it might have been my favourite area so far, still have a lot of motivation)

Oh I absolutely cried, it felt like an unbelievably significant event. Especially having him call out trans rights -- it was a litmus test for whether or not people need to compromise on human rights to prevent things from getting worse, or if a better world might actually still be possible

Just saw this -- that's not the case at all! We removed stuff like voice acting and cinematics that only happened at the start of the game, and fleshed out the actual world and lore instead. No more "invaders" versus "resistance"!

99.99999% of "AI" has been "how do we rip off copyrighted material without having to pay for it", it's wild that Canada is getting suckered into investing in the bubble instead of just making sure we come out on top when it pops
