With p5*js and @shiffman.lol as well as @phaser.io and @asebist.bsky.social my JavaScript journey started - which enabled me to do all sort of shenanigans and I am very grateful for it 🤗

Two new games are dropping soon,
follow me to not miss them!

For me the baffling thing is not the use of ai, but the audacity to not even check the image, brush it up and correct it to your vision.
Especially if you are a company who can PAY an artist and ENSURE the survival of a life that can help you in the future too. With art, taxes and so on.
they are removing a big australian beach christmas artwork from redfern station (a huge train station) because it's ai garbage. kangaroos have koala heads and some animals have missing limbs and one of them is WEARING A BRA

It's a bit funny when using a dynamic texture instead of a static, feels like a big achievement :D
It works, the framework holds - another feature I had on my mind and theoretic backburner for a long time until now.

Starting with the builders of those vast underground structures, a cult around St. Barbara developed. Some pilots are devoted to her and look for salvation in her arms.

I had a blast showing SerpenTiles at ViennaComicCon - no matter the age, people liked it - except the kids that were on a search for fortnite (as always 😂)

For this #RandomGameSaturday I'm going to bring one of my favorites from the PS3/360 generation. Faith's story across the rooftops of The City. Mirror's Edge. It's impossible not to play it without being overcome with the urge to run and jump, find fences to grab onto, and walls to do wall rides on.

Too stubborn to do anything else. I did (shitty) games in highschool IT and my teacher allowed it instead of whatever SQL else to learn. Dropped out of Uni bc of not learning anything about gamedesign/dev, but the programming was interesting.
Still hacking away on my own until I showed a very (1/2)
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

Bc I got asked, I am doing this in @phaser.io with a little magical sprinkle of old version and a lot of elbow grease :)

You can either give in to the computer- or the more conventional gods.
These are your last months on earth, so why not both maybe?

Does youtube also recommend year old already watched videos to you again lately?

There is this phase in development when you love your game and just play it. Observe, change and so on. That's a great one, because you just made your own toy to play with and you see if it gets boring or not.
Currently I am weirdly compelled to just watch it - because autopilot just does its thing.

Trying and failing makes way better memories than never trying at all.

Remember everyone, when you look back at your life you'll remember the cool shit you tried, even if you failed, way more than you remember the boring safe choices.

For indie game devs specifically, maybe your game fails, but you'll remember making a game more than working a safe desk job.

When you are within the tunnel, it is actually super hard to realise the geometry of the track.

The enemy AI is not the brightest yet, but 20 crafts on the same track checks out.
It searches for the most curvature to gain speed and has basic obstacle avoidance.
50 really started to bring the performance down with all the collision checks :D

In the end it's a lot of handy work.

Resistance Racing School 101:
The more rake your craft has, the faster you will go. Pitch too much and you will grind your nose on the track or detach from it. The rake also influences your heat.
Balance is key to keep the most speed through all corners without overheating.

Tried to model a F1 style craft instead of the wipEout style one. I am not too happy with it, but might explore further, how the track actually would shape the vehicles design.
The tripod of a spaceship like triangle doesnt connect to the walls as much, as a flatter floorsucker I feel like.
