We've experienced wild weather across the state over the last few days, from elevated fire conditions to intense thunderstorms with significant lightning activity. Over the last 24 hours, more than 800,000 lightning strikes have been detected, igniting several new fires.

November, there are 69 fires burning across NSW, with 26 yet to be contained. More than 1000 firefighters and incident management personnel are working in difficult conditions to strengthen containment lines and bring the fires under control.
