Update on Zen is that we now have ridiculously fast broadband now (2.5GE) - installation via Freedom Fibre very good. Just a glitch with them activating the account at the Zen end, but have been impressed with their "customer excellence" real people on the phone, keen to learn from the glitch.

I tend to use Hive, on the basis that they profit share with local independent bookshops, but still allow the convenience of an online interface. Posting here in case it's of use to others, or in case someone can tell me that it's not as good as I thought!... www.hive.co.uk

Worth having a look to see if Zen Broadband serves your area. I'm just going through a switch from virgin and have been very impressed with the customer service (like a named individual you can call directly), so far...!
