I should not poke this bear but the fact that the card in the left is the embodiment of Magic leaving behind traditional fantasy and the card on the right came out two sets sooner with barely a mention sort of suggests that modernity isn’t the problem.

Jess and I went to get our flu and Covid shots yesterday and they gave our daughter this sticker. And for one this sticker is super rad, and why are they offering her a sticker? She didn’t get a shot. Also she’s 15 months old she’s just going to choke on this. Anyway I’m putting in her college fund.

Here’s the thing about all this tariff discourse. It isn’t better that we’ve decided that only people in poor countries do this horrible work for no pay and also then we ship it on a giant boat across the ocean. $10 t-shirts are unironically ruining the whole world.
