My shul’s rabbi has very much normalised babywearing at community events this year, but alas! neither he nor the synagogue are currently on BlueSky

(I’m not a rabbi, to be clear - just a member of the synagogue!)

Oh the very idea just gave me the full body horrors

Heavy, precious, an honour & privilege to hold, and absolutely not something one can drop; all these are true of both. But neither of my babies have ever been surmounted by intricate & noisy silverwork.

I once found myself holding a Torah in its full regalia in a service & having to really concentrate in order to refrain from gently bouncing it like a baby.

Demons don't do anything they promise to, but we are told the next, even more lavish one will.

So much gold is being spent on summoning that apparently 'a bubble' is about to burst and then everything will be a lot worse for a long time, and none of the people responsible will suffer in any way.

The demons pretend to be neutral but they are not, and they aren't living, they are demons. They are made at out of sand, rare metals and lightning.

They aren't living but they do drink. If you ask a demon a question it will become thirsty, and they insist on fresh water.

Demons are always spying on you, that's part of the deal and if they help you make something, then they can now make a copy of it, forever.

We are currently waiting to see the lawmakers are going to punish the demon summoners for stealing a copy of every book ever written by a human.

A demon can pretend to make art and even give the illusion of living people for a short time, but they cannot create anything actually original because demons only steal.

We are now in a demon summoning war. The powerful groups have convinced themself whoever gets the most powerful demon wins.

The demon seller is very good at selling the idea of demons to the bosses ('more gold for you!') so your job and things you own are trying to trick you into using demons or forcing you to see a demon.

Sometimes demons do terrible things, deadly things and the summoner just sighs.

I am delighted that someone else on the internet leapt to exactly the same silly pair of names that I did.
