Arms & legs are components that attach at a single point, ok so assemble a full limb with everything that attaches to it, and then attach that to the body. Luckily they had sent along an additional assembled grey model to use as a go-by.

Pics of Binaltech Smokescreen had popped up by then, but seeing this Viper being done for Hasbro meant a) Smokescreen wasn’t a 1-off & b) the line was coming to the U.S.
My first TF assembly job was an ALTERNATOR so that was def a trial-by-fire. I quickly learned to break things down into sections.

I had all of the FP Muppet Show figures, but Kermit met an untimely demise with a lawnmower. He fell out of my arms into the grass when I was carrying them all in after playing outside. My dad presented me with the legs, all that was left. Or maybe the upper body was too mangled/scary looking.

The Palisades Kermit figure is now about the same age the Fisher Price fig was when the Palisades Muppets came out. I’ve wanted to do this comparison shot for a long time, but only just finally replaced my FP Kermit after 40-some years.

#TransformersLegacy #BeastWars Inferno is a Grade A+ Chosen One, the gold standard that all others will be judged against. I guess the one nitpick would be the Matrix isn’t as secured in Beast Mode. But dang those are some enviable chest mechanisms!

It’s Kermit week for #TheMuppets70 so a fitting time to revisit this sculpt. Made this in ‘99-‘00, my 2nd Super Sculpey sculpt. Fueled by reruns of THE MUPPET SHOW being shown on Hallmark channel in the afternoons.
