I once wrote smut, but haven't for a while.
I'm fond of old cars, walks in the woods and sunsets. Totally smitten and ridiculously happy .
I must admit, I've had breakfast in worse places...
I stayed in an actual castle yesterday. Very fancy indeed.

Saturdays sunset.
Holiday sunsets hit better somehow.
Oh well, hopefully the grey sky here will clear sometime.

If you see this, post a bridge.

I took a very small diversion on the way to work today. It was totally worth getting up an hour early for.
Welcome to autumn!

The moon was nice and clear here for tonight's lunar eclipse.

I'm not sure I've seen clouds quite this colour before. Taken right before a monumental downpour.

Does this make sense to anyone? How can an event be replaced by, and also running alongside another one?
I think the Silverstone events team are still reeling from last weekend!

Popped out to watch the moon rise over #Stonehenge last night. I'm always amazed at just how fast it moves from the horizon. It's always fun trying to find the best vantage point to catch it too.

I spent Sunday standing on an airfield, releasing my inner child and geeking out over fast planes. I was reminded just how good the red arrows were when they had to provide the flattest display I've ever seen. They were superb.

My view.
Looking up from the hammock, enjoying the shade with a book. This is definitely the way to spend a hot Sunday afternoon.
Bliss.

I'm quite pleased with this one. I managed to catch the Buck #moon rising over #Stonehenge tonight. Definitely worth the walk out there today.

I'm still waiting for the giant sunflower to actually flower, though it has just passed the 6 foot mark. the smaller one is looking pretty while it's big brother grows taller

I spotted a hummingbird hawk moth on my budlea this morning. Seeing these always makes me smile and reminds me of summer holidays in rural France.

What you want to see Vs what it is actually like.
I go every year because I'm local, and these are both taken within seconds of each other by me, today.
That was the busiest I've ever seen it. Still loved it though 😁

Give me a shout if you want to go another time and I can tell you where to find a space. I live very close. It was rammed this year, so you didn't miss much.

The warm weather brought a massive number of people to Stonehenge for the summer solstice sunrise. I've never seen it so packed. Still magical though.

The poppies in my garden were looking resplendent in the afternoon sun today.

Popped out for a walk this evening and watched a spectacular sunset, followed by the strawberry moon rising over Stonehenge. Not a bad evening.

I have a nest full of baby blackbirds in my garden!

The perfect end to a day of physical labour. Bliss.

The weeds may be plentiful, but the irises have taken over nicely from the tulips in my garden
May 28, 2025 at 7:47 PM
Popped out for a spot of breakfast and a snack car meet.
I do love driving my little toy.
😁

These tulips are an incredible colour. In some light they look black, in others they really shine with this vibrant purple.

Of course if this were the old days on twitter, you'd be seeing a different picture as it is world naked gardening day. Enjoy the tulips and consider it a lucky escape!

I could get used to a sky like this. What a glorious spring day it is here. Perfect for ignoring the world and losing myself in simple physical labour in my garden.
If only I had the hot tub setup...
