ICE is using a Navy war-fighting contract (WEXMAC TITUS) to turn warehouses into detention sites in the US.

They're using mil procurement to skip transparency & local safety laws.

Call your Reps and demand:

1. Why is ICE using WEXMAC TITUS?
2. Where is the oversight?
3. What are you going to do?

Really? It's perfectly clear to me.
It’s really @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social who’s being unclear not @wajali.bsky.social tho
A simple ? from Wajahat Ali pushes Hakeem Jeffries into a crashout:

"Why not lead and abolish ICE? What you're telling us is you want our taxpayer dollars to pay for a lawless masked armed agency to continue terrorizing our cities."

Jeffries: "I don't understand anything you just said to me."

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Watch👇Rep AOC (D-NY) connect the dots on income inequality and the rise of authoritarianism, and MAGA Republicans say she’s just a bartender. I’d like to see one of them pontificate on this subject for 2 minutes, ain’t happening. #TrumpAffordabilityDisaster

So let me get this straight. The U.S. Attorney’s Office had a draft statement announcing Jeffrey Epstein’s “suicide” dated August 9, 2019. He didn’t die until August 10. Totally normal. Nothing to see here.

Small dog suffers broken rib after being repeatedly kicked by U.S. Marshals deputy. "Action News 5 obtained two videos that show the marshals service employee kicking Yoshi not once, but twice." www.actionnews5.com/2026/02/07/d...
Dog kicked by Memphis Safe Task Force member on the mend as US Marshals defend action
The dog’s owner told Action News 5 that the deputy U.S. marshal seen punting her pup had no reason to do so, but officials with the U.S. Marshals Service say otherwise.

Please be safe this weekend.

Starting tonight, Maryland will experience dangerously cold temperatures, with extreme wind chills and gusts through Sunday.

Wind, snow, and ice may all impact your travel plans, so please drive carefully, limit your time outdoors, and check on vulnerable neighbors.

When you’re losing hope.

Take a deep breath.

Close your eyes.

Think back to when this guy was your president.

When you could associate the presidency with class, decency and integrity.

Now open your eyes

And fight like hell to get someone like him back in office again.

I'd consider it a compliment. It was engaging enough that they couldn't put it down!
It's always a strange feeling when a reader finishes a book of mine—which I spent ~ a year working on—in a single day.

Like, thanks, I'm thrilled you enjoyed it... But I spent a year on that, you could have at least split it up over two days. 😂

NEW: A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Department’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls, ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warning that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
Federal judge rules DOJ can ‘no longer’ be trusted in voter roll crusade
The judge pointed to a letter from Bondi to Minnesota that tied federal immigration enforcement to demands for voter data as the smoking gun.

Are they going to also "blame a staffer" for Obama permanently living, 24/7, rent-free in his head?

No kidding! I was #10 in the queue and waited on the phone for 19 minutes, only to be told I could leave a call-back number & they'd call back within 24 hours. I just wanted to make an appointment! How long does it take to make 10 appointments?!?
The pediatrician's office opens at 8:15. I call at 8:20 to make a sick visit appointment for my kid. I have been on hold for 13 minutes thus far.

My kingdom for a direct line to talk to humans to do simple things like doctor's appointments.

No. Never have believed in the trickle-down garbage.
Layoffs just hit their highest start-of-year total since January 2009 — the height of the Great Recession — according to data tracking firm Challenger.

Meanwhile, CEO pay and corporate profits continue to hit record highs.

Does anyone still believe that trickle-down tax cuts create jobs?

It amazes me they can be so stupid!
The morning after mass layoffs, The Washington Post publishes this as their lead editorial. The owner and publisher clearly have no idea why they are losing subscribers. Meanwhile they have destroyed a storied brand.

This Black History Month remember:
•Human trafficking was legal
•Slavery was legal
•Jim Crow was legal
•US Government paying reparations to white enslavers & not to the enslaved was legal. Prison slavery is still legal.

The lesson: Do not let legality & power be a measure of morality & justice.
