We will accept food donations at my district office during normal business hours on an ongoing basis. Please feel free to bring unopened, shelf-stable, non-expired food to our office. Each pantry also has suggested donations of things that are most useful to them; view the flyers for more details.

In addition to encouraging financial donations to our local food banks, my office will begin hosting a monthly food drive benefiting our local pantries, starting with CHHOP in November and the Ossining Food Pantry in December.

Every year on September 11, we pause to remember the lives of those who were lost, the bravery of those who responded, and the resilience of our communities in the months and years that followed that fateful day in 2001.

This legislation would have a devastating impact on our healthcare system, our environment, our state's finances and so much more, so I am continuing to sound the alarm and urge our federal representatives to change course. Learn more about the tour at bus.fairshareusa.org

I joined local colleagues & advocates for the kickoff of Fair Share America's Stop the Billionaire Giveaway Bus Tour in Croton on Saturday. This tour is highlighting the big ugly bill that aims to take healthcare and food from the neediest Americans to give massive tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.

The Assembly wrapped up the legislative session in the wee hours of this morning, and I'm proud to say that 12 of my prime-sponsored bills passed both houses. (1/2)
June 18, 2025 at 3:32 PM
As of today, five of my prime-sponsored bills have passed the Senate, with more expected to follow soon. These bills will protect essential workers, affirm the responsibilities of utilities to property owners, support the health of volunteer firefighters, and promote local economic development.

In the wake of Rep. Mike Lawler's town hall on May 4, my office is hearing from residents who are outraged about the forcible removal of women, including one of my constituents, from that meeting in a moment that has now gone viral. (1/2)

The statistics are worse for women working part-time and for women of color. This #MomsEqualPayDay, I am expressing my support for legislation to expand pay transparency and family leave, improve access to child care, and achieve fair pay for care workers. (2/2)
May 6, 2025 at 6:10 PM
Flowers are a nice gift, but equal pay is what moms really need. In our state, moms working full-time only earn 79 cents for every $1 that dads earn, on average. (1/2)

I urge Congress to reject any budget proposal that shortchanges our veterans. (3/3)
May 2, 2025 at 7:21 PM
The reckless way in which the Trump administration has pursued cost-cutting has led to huge & dangerous errors, but no savings. I'm skeptical that cuts to VA will do anything besides create chaos, suffering, & despair for the people most deserving of the US government’s care & respect. (2/3)
May 2, 2025 at 7:21 PM
This morning, I joined Congressman George Latimer, state and local officials, and veterans to speak out against proposed cuts to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. I am very concerned about what such cuts could mean for the veterans in my district and the VA Home at Montrose. (1/3)

@newyorkstateag.bsky.social will hold a community impact hearing from 6-8 PM on Thursday, 5/8 to hear from New Yorkers about the impact Trump administration policies are having on us and our families. ⬇️

Our current president is overstepping his constitutional authority and endangering our nation's safety and prosperity on a daily basis. It is time for Congress to use its constitutional authority to put a stop to this chaos.

It's National Library Week! Public libraries have become much more than places to check out books. For the latest episode of my podcast, Building Healthy Communities, I spoke with two local library directors who share the breadth of the resources and services that their libraries offer.

This week, I joined colleagues asking for NYS to divest from Tesla. Its volatility puts our pension fund at risk at a time when we - and the many residents who rely on this fund - cannot afford such risks. Grateful to my colleague @joannesimonbk52.bsky.social for leading this effort.

On this #EqualPayDay, we see that women have to work almost 16 months to earn what men do in 12. This
is unacceptable. I'm proud to stand with my elected
colleagues & advocates like @powherny.bsky.social to bolster pay transparency and ensure that women are paid fairly for the work we do.
March 25, 2025 at 6:06 PM
On Saturday, I joined colleagues, labor leaders, and hundreds of local residents to say #HandsOffSocialSecurity! Cuts to the SSA are cuts to Social Security. Instead of cutting people's duly-earned benefits, they should lift the income cap on Social Security contributions. #TaxTheRich

Yesterday I joined colleagues for a "Know Your Utility Rights" webinar with New York's Public Utility Law Project (PULP). If you were unable to attend but need assistance with your utility bills, you can contact PULP at (877) 669-2572 or email [email protected].

As we prepare to vote on our one-house budget proposal today (more on that in a bit!), I'm proud to stand with @nynurses.bsky.social and everyone else working to make New York a healthier, more affordable and sustainable state.

During budget discussions, I've been pushing for a Working Families Tax Credit to streamline and expand several existing state tax credits for families. This is not just a moral imperative, but an economic one: If we want to retain the residents we need to power our economy, we must pass this bill.

I'm hearing from constituents who are concerned about the potential impact of tariffs on our electric bills. If you live in a community that's part of Sustainable Westchester's Community Choice Aggregation program, take heart: your electricity supply rates are fixed through the end of November. 🧵
