I wonder what Glup Shitto I'm missing out on today. A very grainy screenshot from National Treasure. It shows....Sean Bean's two goons. I've forgotten their names. Clearly this means it's time to rewatch. Anyway, one of them is saying "Because it's important?" in response to Sean Bean asking why a word in their treasure quest riddle thing is capitalized. This movie is the shit and has an excellent soundtrack and I will not be accepting criticism at this time. An old portrait of Genghis Khan. TAAP Oathbringer Episode 0 spoilers without context:
A photo of two chimpanzees in what appears to be a zoo enclosure. One of them is obscured by the other, but the one front and center is the star of the show. He has the widest eyes and is staring completely open-mouthed upward. He is absolutely delighted to be seeing whatever he's seeing. I think the photo caption said it was the sky for the first time, which is phenomenal. I have no idea why I listed "chimps seeing things" in my notes for this episode and I can't wait to find out alongside all of you. A photo of the Nether, in the game Minecraft. It's hell. It's simply hell. It looks like a big cavern made of gray and red rocks, with motes of red floating through the air and a lake of lava in the ground. Calling this a "photo" of the Nether feels weird, it's not like you can physically go there and pull out your camera to take a pic. The movie poster for a truly phenomenal film - The Iron Giant. It shows the titular Iron Giant, a big ole metal robot man with blue eyes and a smile, holding the young human protagonist whose name I absolutely know. WAIT HANG ON I don't think this is the movie poster, it might be the cover of the book?? I didn't even know it was a book but I just googled Ted Hughes (whose name is listed in teal at the top of the image) and it turns out he wrote the original book. Which makes sense as to why there are positive blurbs from both Philip Pullman and Madeleine L'Engle floating around. Was this the original cover and then the film pulled the Giant design from it? Or did they redesign the cover after the movie??? Someone tell me now I need to know A magazine cover comprised of a lot of magazine covers. It's a magazine about the Time Person of the Year, titled "TIME Person of the Year: 95 Years of the World's Most Influential People." You can see that some of the featured previous winners are Obama (totally), Mark Zuckerburg (sure), The Whistleblowers (hang on), The Endangered Earth (what), The Spirit of Ukraine (now we're just getting silly with it) and....computers?

TAAP Edgedancer Episode 3 spoilers without context:

TAAP Edgedancer Episode 2 spoilers without context:
A screenshot of the loading screen for an Assassin's Creed game - it looks like ACII on first blush to me. It's an off-white background with some computer-y geometry in the background. And with that disclaimer, we can clearly see that Assassin's Creed has never been problematic. Even a little bit. For sure. A promotional image for the British quiz show Mastermind. It shows a single uncomfortable looking chair sitting on a round dais with a giant M plastered in the center of it. Harsh industrial lighting shines down form above, and otherwise it kind of looks like a void. Honestly, this looks like the music video for The Arbiter. You know, the single released from the 1984 musical Chess about the Chess Referee that they made a music video for sung by Bjorn Skifs from Blue Swede. Sometimes these alt texts are just for me. A...cover? Promotional image? Some sort of graphic design for a song. There's a yellow background with a kind of wibbly grid behind a silhouetted man and woman dancing together. The band name at the top reads MEN WITHOUT HATS, and the song is of course called THE SAFETY DANCE. There's so much random stuff happening in this image, I'm fascinated. TAAP Hope of Elantris and Grab Bag episode spoilers without context:

TAAP Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell spoilers without context:

A meme that I have no idea what the original context is but one I thoroughly enjoy. It's a shot from Breaking Bad, showing Walter White (a bald man with glasses and a goatee) sitting in a slightly dusty black car and screaming through the window. I never want to know what the original context for this is. It's better in my imagination. A screenshot of a tweet and a reply. The original tweet is from Star Wars Holocron, reading: "Did you know? The Sith Eternal fleet seen in #Star Wars #TheRiseofSkywalker as created by Sith cultists on Exegol, who indoctrinated Exegol's popultion with Sith values and raised and trained their children to become officers, mechanics, and soldiers for the Final Order." On top of all that in black lines are two interlocking triangles. Under all that, the band name "Coheed and Cambria." This kinda looks like something I would doodle in my notebook at school. An exterior picture of the Allstate Arena, a large building used for sports and concerts in Rosemont, Illinois. It's a large tan building with a blue roof, and large trapezoidal black windows. There are also a few doors and a lot of parking lot showing in the picture. If you squint at the left, you can see the highway with the one goddamn exit that you can take to get to this arena, which creates a nightmarish hellscape in the parking lot. If you attend an event here, make sure you pee before you try to leave.

TAAP Shadows of Self Episode 7 spoilers without context:

A movie poster for Megalopolis, which is unsurprisingly so busy that I'm gonna have trouble describing it. TAAP Shadows of Self Episode 6 spoilers without context:
A screenshot from one of the Sims games. I should probably know which one. As is customary, there's a Sim in a pool, clearly having a bad time. There are no ladders leading out of the pool, as they've certainly been deleted. If the game didn't want us to do this, they shouldn't have made it a fun animation for the Grim Reaper to show up when Sims die. That's all I have to say. A kind of alarmingly close-up picture of a thumbtack. It has a clear body and a pointy pin-part. The pin-part isn't quiiiiiite centered in the clear body, which is infuriating. Especially because I feel like there's an angle somewhere if you rotated the tack where it could have been centered. Why didn't they do that. A poster for Netflix's documentary series Cold Case. This episode is about The Tylenol Murders, and shows a pill container with red and white pills. One of the slots is empty, revealing a poison sticker. I wanted to get something just about the Tylenol murders in general, not this specific documentary but the only pictures I could find were like of the victims? Which feels a little ghoulish to post and also hopefully not something that's just recognizable on sight. A painting depicting the Greek myth of the Sword of Damocles. It shows a rich throne room, covered in fine fabrics and beautiful vases and statues and whatnot. Several courtiers are in the background. There's also a sword hovering in the air over one dude's head, and he looks appropriately freaked out by the sword hovering over his head. In beautiful Papyrus font, it's labeled as "THE SWORD OF DAMOCLES."

A weirdly photoshopped together picture of a rage room. Against a gray background, there's a pile of smashed trash and junk. 3 old TVs with broken screens sit on top of the pile. TAAP Shadows of Self Episode 4 spoilers without context:
A map showing a portion of the city of Chicago. It's a very simple map, just showing streets, the river, and some green spaces throughout. It has highlighted Lincoln Avenue with a black box, showing that it's a nightmarish diagonal line through an otherwise very beautiful, orderly, grid. Look at the intersections it creates. I'm furious just looking at it. A screenshot from an Assassin's Creed game. it's one of the later ones so I can't tell which one because I haven't played any of them beyond 3. It shows an assassin standing on a walltop, locked in on two guards below. The mission is stated to be, in the top right corner, "Eavesdrop on the guards." Embarrassingly I really was trying to get a picture from AC1 and those specific eavesdrop missions but my phone refuses to download images from wiki sites and that's all Google was giving me. A still from a Mythbusters episode. It shows Adam Savage in a black swimsuit, complete with swim cap and Googles. He's crouched in a pit covered with a tarp, ready to swim through whatever liquid he's crouched in. Spoiler alert: it's syrup. He's swimming through syrup. I love this show. A picture of Dogma Jesus, also known as Buddy Christ. It's a statue of the common interpretation of Jesus (white guy, beard, long brown hair), but with one arm doing a finger-gun and the other doing a thumbs up with a smirk and a wink. Apparently it's from a Kevin Smith film? And is also a meme?? Sometimes I just realize that there are corners of the internet I never experience. A picture of Post Malone, absolutely lost in the Magic the Gathering sauce. He's in a room with a pile of board and card games in the background, sitting in a chair, holding up a Magic card. His face is kind of a...smirk? Laugh? Thing? I honestly can't describe it but it's incredibly powerful. There's an aura to this picture that I can't pinpoint. Or maybe I'm just really tired.

The tagline, floating in the darkness in between them, says "IN ORDER TO TRAP HIM, HE MUST BECOME HIM." Okay it's actually more like 3/5 of each of their faces? Like if you lined them up you would have too much face and that bothers me more than perhaps it should. A panel from a comic. Standing against a light blue background is a humanoid man, with orange skin, a purple bodysuit, and either weird tan bumpy sleeves or weird tan bumpy arms. His right arm is completely detached from his body and held over his head as he says "Observe as I detach my limb, and transform it into a deadly weapon!" The panel is labeled: "Hey Kids, It's ARM-FALL-OFF-BOY!" Okay again with the things not lining up - there's a clear line on his arm where either the sleeve or the discoloration starts and that's not where his arm detaches! Why isn't it at the dividing line? A picture of hit Disney characters Chip and Dale. They're two adorable little chipmunks, distinguishable by each other by one having lighter fur and a pink nose and the other having darker fur and a black nose. They've cracked open a peanut and are sharing the goodies within. I have no idea what the origin of these character is, I feel like they just kind of sprung into existence and everyone knew who they were and I just had to smile and nod like I did too. That makes it sound like they're new, they've been around since the 40s. A still from the movie Age of Ultron. It shows Quicksilver (the Aaron Taylor-Johnson one), covered in splotches of blood that feel like they formed way too fast given how recently he was shot. He's saying "You didn't see that coming?" No Aaron. I did not. Because the movie established how much faster than bullets you are. Sigh.
