My access to fantasy back in the day was David Eddings, well before everything came out about him and his wife. I adored those books, but if the whole internet had decided to shit on me (it didn't exist then, but you know what I mean) because I didn't know dryads were written into multiple...

This is the same attitude to people "only reading YA" or those who loved the wizard school books as adults (before the author became the worst), or those who adored The Da Vinci Code. They're readers, non? And acting like they're stupid or not welcome will make them non-readers.

Definitely the tattoos - and boy, that's a part of this that would need to be done *right*
