2/ what maga doesn't understand (and doesn't respect) is that God's way isn't the easy way (he says it's narrow and hard) but in America that doesn't put bread on the table. So they not only disrespect his laws they intentionally promote their unholy idol's power.

These people are not ignorant, not conned, not seekers, not interested that Christian means 'like-christ'. The Spirit and Jesus, they have definitions of them that fit their beliefs.

A recent book surveyed and interviewed over a thousand white evangelicals with questions like the Bible verse A says we shouldn't steal do you think thats something christians should do and 2/3rds detected the questions with a racial consequence and said 'no'.

agreed, but this nation which is normally so good at triaging a crisis and mobilizing a fix is floundering to analyze this crisis; imo, thats because its about racism and the majority of whites are unable to accept it's real.

to me, {sigh} if 'christian' can mean you and the pragmatic bigot willing to do anything to maintain cultural power - I'm not interested in sharing the term. We all shouldn't be - how come they're the only ones with a right to stipulate "you can't be a christian and do ____ " (xy & z).

It begins with what does God expect of his people. Is there a moral mandate that God connects to covenant and calls his people back to when they stray. Did Jesus not explode it in the sermon on the mount?
