Isn’t it a bit too late to still be doing the “New Year Challenge” on my fitness app? I can’t remember how many times I’ve completed it through the year 💪🏼

Still here. Still waiting for HMP Bronzefield to call an ambulance for Qesser Zuhrah, who is on day 46 of her hunger strike and needs urgent hospital care now.

“I know a disabled person who takes their Motability car on holiday” is an absolute zinger of a comeback.

Famously, disabled people only go to the supermarket and hospital. I’d personally put a ban on mainland Europe.

Disabled people driving luxury cars on your dime? Just the latest rightwing lie peddled by Labour | Frances Ryan
Starmer’s ailing government is happy to pursue ideas like cutting Motability, but all ministers will do is damage lives and themselves, says Guardian columnist Frances Ryan

As I reach the end of 2025, my thoughts are. Will we ever see job description person specifications that recognise the more limited career opportunities that having a disability presents? And to higher grade levels too?
Until we do, inequality will always exist.

Time to admit the truth: Brexit has been an unmitigated economic failure, says The Telegraph.

Brexit Effect:

UK GDP down 8%
Investment down 18%
Productivity down 4%
Employment down 4%
Immigration not cut
No trade benefits
No regulatory freedom

Why do some still vote for Farage?

Good to march in London with the Palestine Solidarity Campaign on this International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
To march on a rainy day is nothing to what the Palestinian people endure in Gaza and the West Bank.

Cheering the two child limit ending isn’t patting Starmer’s Labour on the back or ignoring his record. It’s acknowledging 8 years of hard campaigning and ridding the country of a cruel, toxic policy. Half a million children won’t be hungry anymore. Celebrate today. Tomorrow, pick the next fight.

Today is the 4th anniversary of the worst ever tragedy in the Channel.

At least 27 men, women & children drowned in the freezing water, & 4 more have never been found.

Since then, neither we nor the French have done a thing to offer people in this situation with real solutions.

Indonesia carved up Western New Guinea twice — turning one colonially grabbed province into six.

— Why? Easy: control the natural resources, dilute the indigenous population, and wrap it all in the usual fairy tales of “governance” and “development.” #WestPapua

Researching funders for small charities.
On my current list there’s more for asylum seeker and refugee charities than there are for small disability charities.
