Apparently there is no truth to the rumor that the President is working on a deal with Colorado for a prisoner exchange, in order to release Tina Peters.
As you hear about air traffic delays and cancellations, keep in mind that ATC has been understaffed and underfunded for years under multiple administrations. And the President made it even worse, long before the shutdown. The shutdown was not the problem.
