Listening to the music from the 1990s Harrison Ford movie Air Force One, I just realized the parallels between what Ford’s character as the president did kidnapping a dictator and what ours did last month.

#SanJose Councilor David Cohen announcing he wants to leave City Council after serving one full term + 1 year of 2nd term to run for #california State Senate.

Any thoughts on his decision, record, and/or chances?

While mayors don't have to weigh in on state policy, they often do!

And #SanJose mayor has been weighing in on state issues since he was a coucilmember, when he came out strongly in opposition to legislation to allow more duplexes & triplexes (known as "Opportunity Housing").
There is exactly *one* big city mayor in the Bay Area who supported SB79, the holy grail of YIMBY housing reforms. It was Barbara Lee. No other big city mayor in the Bay Area chose to do so.

Do with that information what you will.

Going to Texas next month - I can't believe this is true -- for the first time ever.

A few days in Austin!

It will be my 42nd state visited in my 44th year alive.

Still want to hit all 50 by 50!

Still missing: West Virginia, Utah, Delaware, North Dakota, Nebraska, Indiana, Idaho & Oklahoma.

Have had lots of experience w/ Flipcause through the nonprofit I run.

How can a company with 5-6 employees be this much in debt and owe so many nonprofits so much?!? Where did the $ go? Something seems really fishy.
