This thread cleansed my soul.
Today is National Biscuit Day, and it’s about time that I populated this account with biscuit (cookie) sets from the past few years. Here are some of my favourites. 🧵

First up, a set inspired by the delicious designs of William Morris and John Henry Dearle.

RESULT: Nicusor Dan, the centrist mayor of Bucarest, will be the next president of Romania.

A big loss for the far-right: its candidate George Simion got 41% in round one, but didn’t grow enough, & turnout surging worked against him. Simion is down 54.3% to 45.7% with 96% reporting.

Some artists are very, very good at branding themselves so you might feel like you have to go through them to love the thing you love.

But it's just branding. People can make great use of blue, but nobody IS blue.

You stand under the same rainbow. 6/

Bibles in classrooms isn't the big story.

The same legal teams behind the seeding of Dobbs are driving a case to create religious schools fully funded by the public & they've already petitioned the Supreme Court.

Understandably, everyone was focused on the election.

But I know that things won’t be this bleak forever.

I ran against a MAGA incumbent in a “safe red” district in KY as a progressive, openly queer, 28-year-old trans woman.

And I won.

Please, don’t let your heartbreak turn into apathy or cynicism 💙
