Follow up on the whole 'McLaren banning Oscar from speaking to Aussie media' thing, looks like they confirmed at the official press conference that McLaren denied access to BOTH drivers so they can focus on the race. Classic News Corp being pissy over a nothing story.

Seeing a lot of noise being made about a News Corp article claiming that McLaren are banning Oscar Piastri from speaking with the Australian media ahead of Abu Dhabi. Take this with a big grain of salt because:

If I wanted to watch F1 racing with boring characters, made up storylines, unrealistic depictions of the sport, and Guenther Steiner hamming it up, I'd just watch Drive to Survive.

Hoo boy. By constantly talking about "who uploaded the 'cheating' videos" instead of, you know, directly addressing the issue at hand with a proper argument, Willstrop and the hosts basically told on themselves there. Olympic level mental gymnastics here. Utterly disappointing.

Not sure who I feel worse for this race weekend, Jenson Button having to hard carry the punditry this weekend because Danica Patrick is still inexplicably on Sky F1 or the Ferrari strategy team.

Sky Sports F1 continuing to have Danica Patrick on the panel while the likes of Damon Hill get sacked is certainly a choice.
