Every year when the leaves turn brown, I decide
"it is time,I must become Santa"
and grow a full beard, and every year after about a month of doing that, I remember that having a beard is FUCKING HORRIBLE and it just feels like pressing my face into a slightly softer hedgehog half the time

I swear to dog one day I will use a rangefinder and the focus will be on the thing and not behind it because I think my eyes are just stupid. Not bad, just dumb.
Anyway I pushed some Agfa APX100 to 400ish again, some blurry glasses for your viewing pleasure

I swear to dog one day I will use a rangefinder and the focus will be on the thing and not behind it because I think my eyes are just stupid. Not bad, just dumb.

I mean, I don't know the guy but from what I heard, Francis wasn't huge on flexing wealth so I'm pretty sure he didn't ask Leica to build a camera-shaped marketing opportunity for him.

Y'know, I try to like Leica as a company, which also means that I try to ignore everything they did in the last 20 years and most of their customers, but I have to read some stuff for research and it's hard to remember that they weren't always the "look at me!!" golden tech bro Lambo of photography

Leica eventually went with vertical traveling metal blade shutters, which don't appreciate the sun either but they're more resilient against it. But that started to be a thing with the M8 I think? So, fairly recent for Leica standards

So... it's (mostly) the curtain, got a big burn-hole. Not great, not terrible, available as aftermarket part but I gotta hunt for that.
Kind of a unique issue with rangefinders: The sun hates them and if you store them without a lens cap, it will try to kill them if it gets the chance

Added a secret trapdoor that launches randomly colored balloons when clicking the thing.
This may _sound_ like a stupid feature, but it's actually very important because that's how the sad =( is turned back into a happy =)
