Alone, probably not, but a fleet of Defiant class ships, alongside the Akira and Sabre attack ships, is something else entirely.

I sort of love that the existence of the Defiant throws the lore of Star Trek a a curve ball.

It says that, after the Borg encounter, Starfleet command, security and the Engineer Corp all went a little insane.

An idea backed up by the "borg buster" fleet.

He draws too much attention to himself as a director. He's like if Kevin Smith were more committed.

Fincher is nearly as bad in terms of the projects he chooses, but manages to keep his aesthetic out of the way of the storytelling.

I'm gonna say it, and I'm gonna get hate for it...

Whatever he wants as long as he goes away afterwards.

Tarantino has been a leading voice in glorifying violent douchebags for 20 years and that hasn't worked out all that well for us culturally.

I dont know whether to laugh, cry or throw up.

I think thats an old line from Steve Jobs and he was talking about consumer electronics customers, but the principle still holds.

The average player isn't looking at the totality of the game balance, they're thinking "Why did my main get hit with the nerf bat?."

Only seen Ultraviolet once. I remember thinking it was visually inventive but otherwise a disappointing follow up to Equilibrium.

The throw is strawberry flavored.

Do you have original model designs you've created for non federation ships?

I was closer to finishing #inks on page 2 than I realized as well.

(Sort of finished. Need to do something different for the Bird of Prey.)

I noticed that. Its a weird edit.

On the other hand, I miss games where you get to unlock half the roster by playing through the arcade modes. That should come back.

(We're kind of doing that in MKD.)

I know so many of the Street Fighter clones of this era were a but pants, but the post apocalyptic ones like this had some not inconsiderable environmental world building in the character design and stages.

Is that one of the ones where they kick the ball?
November 20, 2025 at 2:14 AM
That's fair.

Not for nothing, but I have an unreasonable fondness for the Sydney class transport ships. I'm sure they were phased out in favor of the Runabouts but I bet there are great stories about Starfleet nobodies spending chunks of their careers on the fleet short buses.

Its somewhere in Beta Canon that ships like the Constitution each had a corvette class variant (Basically Enterprise/Reliant.) A TOS build with ventral Nacelles might be interesting, if a little predictable.

It was amazing. The star outside the Amagosa system throwing that giant red keylight into Picards quarters was striking.

It was just inconsistent and I think it had an effect of the audience reactions.

In fact, I'd like to see a design for the Huron from The Pirate of Orion that doesn't look like a kitbash.
