Going to have some urgent medical expenses coming up soon so I'm actively seeking commission work.

So, commission list and samples to follow. This will be one long thread of examples of my work

Here's my #commission #price list, finally. I guess this means I'm open for business.

Dru Struzan is dead. Today especially I have no patience for anyone who would attempt to replace an actual artist with AI.

The fact that there is a Turing Test at all means that the actual inner workings of the mind are so poorly understood by those who actually have one that that gulf will never be bridged.

And an LLM is a parrot that watches YouTube all day.

This ties back to what we were discussing earlier: If mental health/balance/personality is intrinsically linked to physical nature, doesn't converting consciousness into a data pattern change the personality if isn't running inside something that simulates the original physiology?

#Emulator people, I have a kind of weird one: I'm looking for the #j2me for a port of #Valis that was released exclusively in Japan?

Anybody know where to find it?

I think the reason they didn't is that producing each new cart with an additional chip would have made production too expensive. Offloading the 3D processor to a one time purchase add-on kept the cost per cart lower.

This is precisely the fighting game for people who aren't much into fighting games.

Also, got some Nils action finished as well.

More @megaknockdown.com #animation going in and I'm on my Darkstalkers kick for this one (animations is a little jankier than I tended, maybe because of the conversion to .mov file.)

This game is a LOT of fun. Especially if the execution of fighters keeps you, or friends, away from embracing the brainiac parts of them.

Please take the time to showcase this, y'all!

Trying some outreach to streamers using a new alternative to Keymailer (which is kind of useless these days). I'll let you know how it goes.

If YOU'RE a streamer or creator and wanna try out the game, cut out the middleman and shoot me a dm! I have plenty of review keys. #fgc #indiegames #fgcsky 💪🕹️

Pole Position opening is one the all time banger OP themes from that era.

I think Alan Moore and Eiichiro Oda should issue a joint statement calling this guy an idiot.

Tangentially Related:

Release all clipping masks.

and we might have gotten releases of some System32 ports like Spider-Man and Burning Rival.

Not a bad investment if you already owned a Genesis and weren't ready to go all in on a new system yet.

But I'm probably in a minority there.

(Also, fun fact, the game that became SotN was originally slated to come out on the 32X)

Would it have competed with the PS1? Probably not. But would it have kept SEGA from botching the Saturn release? Theres a chance...

But the ports of Star Wars Arcade, Virtua Racing and Virtua Fighter proved that there was some muscle in that add-on. The ports of MK II and NBA Jam were major steps up from their Genesis counterparts, and games like Chaotix meant that there was a willingness to try new things.

I think if it had come out in early '93 instead of late '94, and been given a little more time on the market, it might have done what it was intended to do: Keep SEGA relevant while they got the Saturn ready for a proper launch.

SEGA's home consoles were always waaaay behind their arcade tech...

With my cursed obsession with #retrogaming, I'm currently thinking about the #SEGA #32X

I partly blame @jparish.bsky.social for this, since his Segaiden series has had the power balance between SEGA's arcade and home divisions knocking around in my head, but hear me out.

I think the 32X is neat...

And somewhere in all of those complex biological interconnections (probably underneath the dance hall made of pin heads) is what could be characterized as a soul.

Also, whichever Heinlein novel was right in front of them.

Tangentially this is a BIG deal in coping with mental illness. How much of a person's inability to function in the world, or even the personality, is a result physical change in the brain and how much is skewed thought process?
