"Killed by police in anything other than a live firefight" should not be a basis for felony murder. (If someone gets killed in crossfire when both cops and criminals are firing weapons it absolutely should)

Some examples: Burglarly when someone is (or should be) reasonably expected to be home. Any crime where you are planning for one of the participants to have a gun or other weapon.

Felony murder ... in a *hunting* accident? Some detail missing here, I think.
I'm very sorry for your friend's loss, he must have been devastated

If Lawrence throws that ball to the receiver up at the top (is that Meyers? Can't see the number) before he comes out of his break, the hook is open as a completion

Yeah, but that's a choice (and the wrong one). He has enough time to get the ball out at the top of his drop (and even a bit after) and the LB has already cleared the space by then. Gotta make that throw. If Stingley somehow breaks that up, so be it.

Lawrence is already getting sacked at this point but the receiver created about 2 yards of separation out of that break & if Lawrence had thrown with anticipation that's a minimum of first down yardage. Put the ball in the right spot and - with the safety committed - a huge play was possible

Like - right here, in this moment, the QB needs to know that's a completion if he wants it, and I don't know what else he would be reading on that play other than that LB.
The S would be an issue if the receiver were running anything other than a hook but since he isn't ...

As soon as the LB matches to the TE the entire middle of the field is (and clearly will be) uncovered, meaning that hook should be an easy pitch and catch

screaming from the pulpit? Do you need help carrying those goal posts or have you moved them so often that you've got it down to a science now?

Everyone has skin in this game, sadly. Just not as directly.
And while I respect your view, and it's a reasonable one, it's also not one universally held among people in your position (including "not progressives")
