Ceding rights does not work as a strategy and it necessarily means sacrificing the lives of Americans as well, lives like J.J. and their mom.

You cannot trade in one human right in hopes of preserving others. That’s never how it works.
Authoritarians, driven by bigotry hate, will never be satisfied. These radical right wingers are already moving to abolish abortion rights, gay marriage and gay adoption, and to revive conversion therapy
