I am cringe, but I am free. When will you rage?
The Captcha Song (in the style of 10CC's "I'm Not In Love")

I'm not a robot/So don't forget it/It's just a silly phrase I have to do

Whoop! Spoke too soon. Back to complaining:

I just saw the "Lanterns" trailer and fuck me running, it's AI slop
December 3, 2025 at 3:53 AM
I feel I must make amends for all the complaining I've done today, so...

By the way: I call bullshit on "AI-inclusive resumes". If you're telling me that companies use AI to search resumes that are formatted a certain way, then how will mine stand out from all the OTHER "properly-formatted" resumes?

It should NEVER be about a resume's FORMATTING.

And given what I know about happiness, I could be happy at any job now. I hope to Yog that someone hires me soon. Because no matter what that job ends up being, I know that happiness depends on me, not the job.
December 3, 2025 at 12:36 AM
While I was working as a copywriter, which I did for many years before I was laid off, I was happy. I was happy because I was exercising my skill. I didn't always like the project I was on, but I enjoyed the challenges of the work itself.
December 3, 2025 at 12:35 AM
And it has nothing to do with the "importance" of your position.

CEOs who get paid millions of dollars -- to make decisions that ANYONE could make, by the way; there's no defending the QUALIFICATIONS of an executive -- can be miserable, while a postal worker can be happy at their job.
December 3, 2025 at 12:34 AM
Secondarily, if you're miserable at your job, you're not going to perform as well, and that will affect the quality of your service or product, which will in turn affect the happiness of the customer.
December 3, 2025 at 12:33 AM
Why do I say that the only marker of success is a happy staff and happy customers? Why not just happy customers?

Because no matter what your service or product, you should try to elevate the quality of everyone's lives. That's just a basic need.
December 3, 2025 at 12:32 AM
don't you guys just love it when i get all self-fucking-righteous?
December 3, 2025 at 12:23 AM
This just goes back to what I keep saying about stupid people:

Stupid people think other people are as stupid as they are. So they don't see the flaws in logic or reason in their arguments. And because THEY don't see them, they think no one ELSE does either.
December 3, 2025 at 12:08 AM
Defense? No. Using a gun to shoot someone who MIGHT shoot you is just pre-emptive murder. That's IT. And that's a slippery fucking slope to try to explain or defend, proles.
December 3, 2025 at 12:07 AM
Fuck's SAKE. The quality of critical thought in America is lower than it's ever been.

It's like the use of guns, okay? The ONLY reason to have a gun is because you want to kill someone. Straight up. That's all guns are good for. That's IT. They don't do ANYTHING ELSE.
December 3, 2025 at 12:06 AM
You don't want people to know you're using generative AI in games? Fucking don't use it. Simple. It's not NEWS that people don't fucking like generative AI. YOU just like it, AI Guy, because it's CHEAPER THAN PAYING REAL ARTISTS
December 3, 2025 at 12:05 AM
That's like cops decrying the use of body cams. The ONLY reason to complain about body cams is because you know you're going to get CAUGHT DOING SHIT YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING. THE ONLY REASON.
December 3, 2025 at 12:04 AM
If you KNOW people don't want it, but still DO IT, what does that say about you?
December 3, 2025 at 12:03 AM
Okay. Let's break this down:

Dear guy who thinks it's "bad" to declare when a game uses AI in its development:

Why is it bad?

Because there's a chance that the consumer will see "AI" and not want to buy the game.

What does that tell you about the use of generative AI in gaming, then, guy?
December 3, 2025 at 12:03 AM
ARRRGHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA

Epic Games, who are a games store that competes with Steam, have just come out and said "it doesn't make sense for a game store to label games that use generative AI"

So, it doesn't make sense for a consumer to have all the information they need to make a purchase?
December 2, 2025 at 11:53 PM
AND, in fact, remember that AI BY ITS VERY NATURE must be trained on existing works. That means that it can NEVER make anything truly original. It can only PARROT what has come before.

ONLY CREATIVE HUMANS CAN MAKE ORIGINAL CONTENT.
December 2, 2025 at 10:26 PM
AI ISN'T SMARTER. AI ISN'T BETTER. AI ISN'T MORE CREATIVE. AI ISN'T FUNNIER. AI ISN'T MORE INSIGHTFUL.
December 2, 2025 at 10:25 PM
I will keep saying it until I never have to say it again:

THE ONLY REASON TO USE AI IN A CREATIVE CONTEXT IS TO STOP PAYING THE CREATIVE PEOPLE WHO ALREADY DO IT. THE ONLY REASON.
December 2, 2025 at 10:24 PM
5. Testing job candidates on how they write/think/collaborate without AI will become the hot new thing.

Don’t stop writing and thinking on your own. We’re clearly in the stupid phase of this AI cycle."
December 2, 2025 at 10:24 PM
4. There will be a backlash to AI as CEOs realize they completely self-sabotaged their workforce and turned them into Dolts constantly asking ChatGPT what they should think.
December 2, 2025 at 10:23 PM
3. The people who resist and DON’T get sucked into the AI Vortex of Mid will have a huge advantage because they can actually write a freaking email and come up with original ideas.
