So like, I have no idea how to resolve this. KDP is showing me what it looks like in the first image in the previewer (in the QRP). It is output exactly the same as the second image (which previews right)

Look how it prints for hardcover. Paperback printed fine.

Any ideas?

Here's where I ended. I started trying to do some general work all over the piece and began adding colors. I still have a lot more to go but I'm excited to work on it again which is not how I felt about it before
