I knew the deaths were higher because Black Americans disproportionately work in high exposure risk jobs. Additionally, for a host of reasons, they would not be able easily get treatment and often had high co-morbidities.

White people deliberately don't recognize that.

My heart sank when I first heard that many of the initial deaths were Black Americans. I knew then white people were going to immediately start fighting any restrictions.

Because my people are racist and not good at critical thinking.

It only applies to duly sworn jurors or judges (bench trials.)

Otherwise cops and prosecutors couldn't do their jobs.

We aren't on the jury. We can say he is guilty because guess what? Innocent until proven guilty is reserved for court, not the general public.

It's why change of venue exists.
