My heart is breaking today as we continue to learn more about another shooting in our community. Praying for the kids and families at the Lynch Arena.

On Presidents’ Day, I’m thinking about the best of the office: service, humility, and a promise to put the people first.

Those are the same principles I’ll uphold as Rhode Island’s next Attorney General.

In a democracy, we elect leaders; we don’t crown them. #NoKings #TeamKim ⚖️ 🇺🇸

This is the day I was sworn in as an attorney in R.I. in 2009. Justice Goldberg welcomed my parents, my then girlfriend (and now wife) Jenna and her parents to the Supreme Court. I am forever grateful to the Judge for swearing me into the RI Bar, and being a mentor to me, all these years later.

I am deeply grateful to Justice Maureen McKenna Goldberg for her decades of extraordinary service to Rhode Island’s judiciary and to our state. Her retirement is an incredible loss for our courts, but her legacy will continue to shape Rhode Island law for generations to come. #GoldbergTrained

Black History is American History. This month and every month, we pay tribute to Black history and resilience, and must remain steadfast in our fight for racial equality and justice.

Thank you @nbc10wjar.bsky.social and Gene Valicenti for having me on to share why I'm the right person for the job of AG. For me, this race comes down to who is best prepared to keep RI safe on Day One.

We don’t have time for a learning curve, and I am ready to hit the ground running. #TeamKim

Last week, I testified in support of HB7304, which would expand RI's Open Meetings Act to allow pregnant or postpartum members of public bodies to participate in meetings remotely. Thank you to House Whip @katherinekazarian.bsky.social for introducing this important bill.

Last night I was honored to return to the AG’s office to celebrate the RI Criminal Justice Hall of Fame '25 Induction Ceremony. I was proud to watch my 1st legal mentor, Supreme Court Justice Maureen McKenna Goldberg, inducted.

Congratulations to the honorees, and thank you for your service to RI!

Two weekends ago, I spoke with Gene Valicenti about the killing of Renee Good by ICE agents in Minnesota. I told him that I was shocked, appalled, and concerned for our country, and I called for a thorough and independent investigation. 🧵

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the six million Jewish lives and millions of other lives lost to the cruelty of the Nazis. The stories of the victims and survivors remind us that we must hold those who perpetrate hate and violence accountable.

Today marks 53 years since Roe v. Wade, and a sad reminder that our daughters are growing up with fewer rights than Jenna and I had. I was honored to meet Sarah Weddington, the attorney who argued this landmark case, and her passion for reproductive justice has always stayed with me.

The Attorney General is the state's top law enforcement officer, and we need a prosecutor - not a politician - with a proven track record of putting dangerous criminals behind bars, defending our fundamental rights, and fighting for working families.

It has only been 1 YEAR of the Trump Administration, and we've seen the direct threat they pose to our rights and our resources.

State AGs can, and should, act when federal decisions endanger families. As Attorney General, I'll use every legal tool to stop Trump from hurting Rhode Island.
2025 saw 71 lawsuits filed, 51 cases ruled on, 40 wins secured. That means billions in education, research, FEMA, and SNAP funding protected. That means troops off the streets in LA, Portland, and Chicago. That means birthright citizenship remains the law of the land. And so, so, much more.
