A report published today by ENTSO-E seems to rule out either a Russian cyberattack or renewable energy as being the cause of April's blackout in 🇪🇸Spain & 🇵🇹Portugal.

Instead, it was a perfect storm of coincidences following a not uncommon oscillation.
Neither Russia nor renewables caused the Iberian blackout - report
The right blamed it on wind turbines and the left blamed it on a Russian cyberattack. But an expert panel had concluded that it was actually the first-ever blackout caused by overvoltage.

The only good thing about the ongoing disintegration of the US is that it's been happening slowly enough for other countries to adjust economically and politically.

Dear young men,

I've been married to an amazing woman for nearly 23 years, now. Here is a list of things this person owes me:

1. Not a goddamn thing. Not food, not comfort, not sex.

I'm in a relationship, not a fucking lease. We give to each other out of love, respect, and joy.

Learn that.

No she shouldn't. If we can't afford taxes to pay for the NHS then we can't afford charges either. And if we can't afford a decent state pension then we can't afford private ones. There's no magic money tree.
