So, uh, I take it the Trump World Cup Draw is going well?

Obvs I hope for a swift recovery, but something absolutely sends me about the opening paragraph of this article accidentally implying that Grace Fisk got injured on purpose to leave Sarina short at centre-back. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

Well, I can't say that this is a big surprise...
(actually, I guess it is a little bit of a surprise that it's being posted about now, but I guess it is a high profile case)

Looking into what this government is doing every day like:
November 20, 2025 at 6:00 PM
Also, like, they're doing that "look how hardcore I am" act with his official portrait as his profile picture, which honestly only adds to the disconnect.

Watching the WSL Highlights for Aston Villa vs Leicester and, uh, it's not the WSL 2 (though this _is_ on the WSL given the vid description is wrong); the attacks shown were mostly Aston Villa (and the saves Leitzig)... and _the video itself_ says both teams already have "one win apiece".

Good news for West Ham women - this week they're merely "winless" whilst _Liverpool_ gets the "pointless" from BBC Sports. #WSL

If I had a pound for every time shirt pulling went unnoticed by the ref in that game I'd definitely be quids in.

E.g. I don't think this choice of pic for the write up is even deliberate in highlighting it.
September 28, 2025 at 7:03 PM
Well, uh, at least the headline no longer calls West Ham "pointless"? #WSL
September 28, 2025 at 1:51 PM
Bit harsh, this, from BBC Sports #WSL
September 28, 2025 at 1:27 PM
For context, given it's different in the preview, this is the headline that shows up on the actual website:

Looking at my FPL team after free hitting to a. target Man U's hitherto lackluster defence and b. also getting some Spurs players in for their easy game like:
August 30, 2025 at 3:35 PM
In other footballing news... uh... I guess it's a good thing for Scotland that losing margins don't go into the coefficient calculation.
August 27, 2025 at 8:03 PM
... Ngl, this tidbit might be slightly more interesting if West Ham hadn't _also_ conceded three in the game before last; really, "eleven goals in three games" sounds at least as bad.
(also lol, lmao, and, man, people who backed Potter in the sack race really might be onto a winner)

Okay, so, because sponsorship stuff probably Fantasy Premier League now prompts you to generate an 'AI' 'badge' for your team [weirdly using Adobe; they also partner with Microsoft?].
My curiosity got the better of me wrt the interface for that and, um... what. #FPL
August 5, 2025 at 9:13 AM
Okay, so, why is every ad for 'AI' stuff in phones like, "look at this incredible automatic photo editing", and then:

Okay, I do love how increasingly forced the "X > Y " thing is.
But also... #WEURO2025 #ENGESP #GraphicDesignIsMyPassion #UpTheLionesses

I like how they picked a particularly unimpressed-looking 'model' for the digital mock-up.
July 25, 2025 at 7:24 AM
In this case it also seems to be "also, they have [access to] lawyer money, and RationalWiki doesn't".
(Keeping up information that's insulting to those people is RW's whole thing, so I figured something else must be going on)
July 5, 2025 at 5:53 AM
Wow, I wonder why Keir Starmer is struggling to get his MPs to trust him, what with the not-particularly-carefully tailored completely incompatible messages being sent out from No 10.

So, I've actually looked at the Immigration White Paper yesterday and, uh, like this cannot be read as anything other than pinning absolute GDP "stagnation" primarily on increased immigration and not anything else?

Like, this is dropped in there, and then it moves on and, uh, what?

Important update to this meme
May 2, 2025 at 4:09 PM
... Ngl, I feel like the Greens would be right to take umbrage with this take from John Curtice, given, well, where things stand as of a few minutes ago (16:21-ish).
May 2, 2025 at 3:28 PM
This aside is, uh, striking - for context, the Policy Exchange is one of the most right-wing think tanks (actually there's a lot of telling stuff about social ties to the Think Tank right, but this one apparently involves the actual government)
