I was astonished at how the supposedly perceived view on it went from “this is so bad it can only be watched ironically” to “it is approaching perennial classic status” in the space of about 2 years.

All I’ve got is that Polly Perkins (Trish in Eldorado) and Geoffrey Whitehead (Mr Humfries in the BBC Radio adaptation of Bertram’s) both appeared in the same episode of The Sweeney in October 1975.

I did actually plough the whole of Ghosts this year and thoroughly enjoyed it. But weirdly, Sky somehow skipped all of the Christmas episodes so we thought it was over and then suddenly there were 2 or 3 more to go.
