Christie / GAD nerd and TV producer. Profile pic is probably the book I’m currently reading. Described both as “wonderfully niche” and “a good human”. Kingston to Bristol via Hanwell, please.
But she’s probably best remembered for her time behind a different bar, the one at The Slaughtered Lamb in An American Werewolf In London

The sofa that’s just through that doorway behind you is exceedingly comfortable. I know this from many, many Saturday afternoons spent with my son while he’s trying to decide on a book.

I remember how exciting things were as a kid that were free or had been acquired for free somehow. The posters on my wall (reproduced below) were ones given away with offers on crisp packets or in jigsaws. And now my son has posters from bookshop giveaways or signing events.

I feel like there are worse mayonnaise flavourings out there. I spotted this in the supermarket earlier in the week.

It was something of a shock to check IMDb after watching the opening episode to find that the actor who plays Gimble is also played the permanently shirtless Nigel in Top Secret.

I don’t want to brag, but I’ve seen the entire Left Behind trilogy so I feel like I’m as prepared as I can be.
