The federal agency regulating #offshorewind development has asked a federal judge to allow it to reconsider a key approval for a project off the Massachusetts coast. If granted, it would be a blow to the project, which plans to invest in #NewBedford and use the city for long-term operations.

A grand jury has indicted five people on charges of conspiring to smuggle drugs into the Bristol County Jail and House of Correction and sell them to inmates. Key to their efforts was a jail librarian, whom investigators say smuggled drugs disguised as paperwork into the facility. #drugsmuggling

I've been checking FERC daily and of course the Vineyard Wind data for Q3 drops on my day off! The project more than doubled the amount of electricity it sold in July, Aug, Sept from the previous quarter. Some quick math: est. 78,000 Massachusetts homes powered @newbedfordlight.bsky.social
