Love to pay $60 literally yesterday for a game that rarely goes on sale, only for it to go on sale today for 40% off. Time to see if Steam will give me a refund even though I've played for more than 2 hours.

One thing you can always count on with gamers is to be really uptight about spoilers through the hype cycle and all the way up until they decide they didn’t like a game, and then they refuse to extend that same courtesy to people who haven’t played it yet.

The number of posts in here about how they were either not born or very young at the time really drives home the reality that the userbase here isn’t the same as the old place.

I love video games.
All finished! Overall, loved this reimagining of these two games. I'm particularly pleased with DQ2. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the new postgame ending, but I will give myself some time to stew on it.

Wow, this is cool. They actually put the はかぶさの剣 in DQ2 HD. This is a glitched weapon that combined the sword of destruction (cursed) with the falcon sword in the original DQ2, nicknamed hakabusa (hakai+hayabusa) by fans. They put it in DQB2 as a cute thing, but they've now put it in DQ2 itself.

DQ2 is very dear to me. It was my first DQ game, and I've always thought much more highly of it than most people. The new version continues to impress me at every turn. All of the new character moments are lovely, as are all of the added events. It really feels like a more complete and polished game

Never thought I'd see the day that the prince of Cannock would be my MVP in DQ2, because he's currently got an edged boomerang equipped and is tearing through enemies. This version of DQ2 is like a fever dream.

There's always been chatter about removing friction in Dragon Quest remakes, but one thing that really strikes me is stuff like this. What is the point of this item if you're just going to mention that it's cursed from the get go?

Finished The Outer Worlds 2. Honestly, fantastic game. I strongly recommend that people check it out, even (especially) if you were not a fan of the first game. Writing, characters, combat, art direction are all a cut above.

I'm about 15 hours into The Outer Worlds 2 and I'm pretty enamored with it. It's much better than the first game in every way. There doesn't seem to be a lot of buzz about, I hope it isn't overlooked too much.
