Yeah the formula is identical to the first with some overhauls to movement and combat. So if you didn’t vibe with the first one you probably won’t dig this one as much!

I haven’t noticed too much more a difficulty spike over the original Hollow Knight. Tho admittedly, it’s been a minute since I played it (around 2020). Some fun encounters that force you to make use of all your tools which I dig.

Been contemplating one of these as well but holding off for identical reasons. But the allure of the Odin 3 or Odin 2 Portal’s OLED screen might get me to buy soon…
