A Democratic president would have been impeached if he/she had posted what Trump posted.
December 15, 2025 at 9:16 PM
Right. That's because Biden is a decent human being. Trump was, is, and will always be a heartless bastard.

No. Anthony Geary and Rob Reiner died on Sunday.
December 15, 2025 at 8:32 PM
No. They didn't pass away a day apart. They both died on Sunday.

You make a grat point. By posting this utterly vile and disgusting post, Trump is signaling to his base that it's okay for them to make fun of and disparage a person who was murdered yesterday just because the person who was murdered was an outspoken critic of Trump.

I've never watched Sadie Thompson but I've watched Wings and Sunrise and yes Sunrise is better than Wings.

Which wrong factoid are you referring to?

Hillary Clinton said in 2016 that "You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables." She was right, of course, but then she apologized a day later.

No. They don't. Hillary Clinton said in 2016 that "you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables" and she was right.

This commercial was made for McDonald's in the Netherlands but it was created by two Americans who work for The Sweetshop Films in LA.

It's set in the Netherlands because this commercial is for McDonald's in the Netherlands. It's only being shown on Dutch TV.
December 9, 2025 at 12:01 PM
Why not? It's a commercial for McDonald's in the Netherlands.
December 8, 2025 at 11:09 PM
Not going well for the ad agency since the commercial is posted on the YouTube channel for the ad agency and not the YouTube channel for McDonald's.
December 8, 2025 at 11:07 PM
I don't think so. Per Wikipedia, outside of the US, "restaurants are operated by joint ventures of McDonald's Corporation and other, local entities or governments." So, I think it's up to the individual McDonald's entities in different countries re: commercials in those countries.
December 8, 2025 at 10:43 PM
I think this commercial is only being shown in the Netherlands. AFAIK, I don't think McDonald's in other countries have AI generated commercials.
December 8, 2025 at 10:32 PM
The text at the end is not some made-up language. It's Dutch because this commercial is for McDonald's in the Netherlands, not the US.
December 8, 2025 at 9:34 PM
But this commercial is for McDonald's in the Netherlands, not the US. I don't believe this commercial will ever air on American TV.
December 8, 2025 at 9:31 PM
It's Amsterdam because this is a commercial for McDonald's in the Netherlands.
December 8, 2025 at 9:27 PM
You went to the wrong channel. The ad agency responsible for making this commercial posted it on their YouTube channel. BTW, this commercial is for McDonald's in the Netherlands. youtu.be/SROxy7KxFpw?...

It's spelled Cocoanuts & it was made into a movie in 1929.
December 8, 2025 at 6:32 PM
Right. Wikipedia cited the same Deadline Hollywood article that I cited: "That same day, Deadline Hollywood reported that TCM is likely among the assets acquired by Netflix, unique from its sister channels that will form the Discovery Global spin-off..."
December 7, 2025 at 5:40 PM
It looks that way. Per Deadline Hollywood, "But it will not include Turner Classic Movies, which sits inside the bit of the business that Netflix is buying after Zaslav got some of his famous friends involved." deadline.com/2025/12/netf...
