You have to be careful when quoting Aaron Rupar's posts because he sometimes misquotes what people say or quotes something out of context & thereby mischaracterizes what people actually said.

Just to clarify, I never said that she didn't denounce the messages. I just think her initial denunciation is somewhat superficial now that she posted something on X that made it clear that she's more interested in attacking the Dems than criticizing the members of her own party.

Yes. She initially condemned the chats via her senior advisor but then she posted this on her X account yesterday. In this tweet, she mostly criticized Democrats so I don't think we can take her initial condemnation seriously.

And I doubt that the next Dem president would want the US to join the ICC. Obama & Biden could have the US join the ICC when they were presidents but they didn't.

I agree but my understanding is that the reason why both Dem & Republican presidents don't want the US to join the ICC is b/c they are afraid that the ICC will arrest & try them for political purposes & not b/c they did anything illegal.

Even if the ICC were to get involved, there's not much that they can do since the US is not an ICC member.

I don't know about Venezuela but even if the International Criminal Court wanted to get involved in this matter, it wouldn't be able to do much since the US is not a member of the ICC.

As far as I know, Rod didn't have much control over Night Gallery. He was definitely a showrunner on Twilight Zone but that was not the case with Night Gallery. He did write many of the segments but he was not involved w/ the day to day operation of the show like he was on TZ.
