The Proclaimers were present at the opening of a new record store in Stirling when I was a student there in 1987. Ironically, I got them to autograph a copy of this very single for my girlfriend who returned to Nebraska at the end of the semester. I never did get that letter afterwards, though... 🤔😂

There is some great winter climbing in the crags up there. Conditions are less reliable these days since our winters are much milder than in the early 90s when I climbed there regularly.

I used to see Ken around Leith regularly. A local legend.
