The more people keep focusing on the credentials of what makes you a good and worthy person not deserving of state violence, the more it will continue to happen. We have to stretch this moment into the lessons of BLM and abolition. Yes it's different now but the lessons are the same.

an administration staffed to the top with degenerate liars
Noem lies shamelessly: "An individual approached order Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic gun. The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently. This looks like a situation where an individual arrived to inflict maximum damage and kill law enforcement"

I keep thinking about how the people of Minneapolis already went through so much in the last six years and now have to survive ICE's mass brutality across the city. Melissa Hortman, her husband, and their dog were assassinated less than a year ago last June.

ICE seems to get completely flummoxed when they’re being yelled at by white men over 35. They kind of put their heads down and shuffle their feet. It’s like their kryptonite.

I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”

Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.
