Finally, on Tuesday morning, @svenkrausse.bsky.social from Alpha Renner's group will present a super exciting finding of parallax errors in the head-direction signal that they observed in my PoSub recordings [Board number RR15] [4/n]

Then on Sunday afternoon, @anujvadher.bsky.social will present a late breaking poster on how this Fragile X rat model phenotype may (or may not) translate to impairments in path integration [Board number: LBP110] [3/n]

In the late breaking poster session on Saturday afternoon (i.e. today!) I'll be showing how the head-direction system in the rat model of Fragile X Syndrome fails to perform weighted integration of visual and self-motion cues, likely due to deficits in self-motion coding [Board number: LBP041] [2/n]

This one! L. Llewellyn-Jones is a top Welsh historian and a big proponent of what he calls the 'Persian version' (😉) of classical history... Basically relying more on Persian sources (like the inscriptions in Persepolis) than the super-biased Hellenic accounts. Highly recommended!

I actually just finished reading an awesome history book about the Achaemenid dynasty... coincidences abound🙂
