Ya see, there's these things called comics, totally full of words AND pictures, and they're like, drugs for literacy man ✌️

Some imaginary words I could've said but didn't tonight to go along with this hilarious photo taken by @adlewis.bsky.social

I'm kind of amused that LNI invoked former Marvel Comics editor Jim Shooter in today's newsletter.

What are some of the best poetry comics out there? That is, these could either be comics written as poems or comics that adapt preexisting poems. Recommendations, please?

So great to be here at American Academy of Religion, especially with old friends Elizabeth Rae Coody, Yvonne Chireau, and Dan Clanton Jr -- with Darby Orcutt and Megan Goodwin in the audience. Delighted to meet Matt Cressler, Spencer Drew, and Christina Pasqua in person, too. #sblaar

I’ve got a nagging question that feels like a time-travel paradox:
Why was Netflix originally called “Netflix?” I mean, it makes sense NOW, when we stream movies over the internet. But, why was it called this back when it delivered DVDs by mail…? Why’d that make sense to us?
