You know that we all want a binational state, right? Israelis define their existence as an ethnic majority of their preferred group and say we want to end its existence because we want to reverse this. Either you don’t know that or you’re a genocidal white supremacist.

This is actor Debra Messing right now on social media. For me, a new litmus test is if someone can accurately identify this person as a Nazi. As a genocidal white supremacist who is a danger to others, and has to be roundly and completely denounced along with all of their rhetoric.

This was Debra Messing earlier. There needs to be some kind of accountability for how what appears to literally be a photoshopped Nazi meme is seen as acceptable when aimed at Muslims.

I am just completely done. To see the hysteria about Mamdami, about student protesters, about Muslims in the street, all supposedly a threat in some nebulous way. And then to see this avalanche of racism/Islamophobia, it shows a deep rot in the democrats, liberals, the media, and people’s humanity.

Since 2020 I have felt a trend of the Democratic Party making a mockery of whatever supposed commitments it had to racial justice, but what has happened with Islamophobia has made me unable to stomach them at all. There has zero pushback and almost no acknowledgement as it gets uglier and uglier.

I feel like 2017-2024 has had this bizarre evolution in American liberalism where they believe they are definitionally not racist, and so they think this kind of sickening and disqualifying racism won’t have any consequence and won’t alienate minorities who believe in our basic right to dignity.

Is there just one perspective inside the community? And even if there is, should textbooks tell students that the native Americans were exterminated, yes, but that the victims of “scalpings” were people too who suffered and that should be the context of the genocide?

This is the context that makes me so on edge, the invention for the first time of the concept of a genocide where blame lies not with the people committing it, and by a democrat!
